BA – Elementary Education/Music, York College (Nebraska)

Hello! My name is Renee Roush and I am so glad to be a part of the wonderful community here at Niwot Elementary. This is my 14th year of teaching and 6th year at Niwot. After earning my teaching degree from York College in Nebraska, I have taught kindergarten, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th grade. In my spare time I love participating in arts of all kinds–singing, acting, painting, drawing, writing, crafting, and costuming.

As an educator, I strive to help my students become honorable, motivated, creative, thoughtful people who will impact their world in a positive way. Academics are paramount, but I also value my students’ individuality. It is important to me to treat students as people first, not just as children. Our goal as a third grade team is to help your child feel connected and engaged academically, socially, and emotionally. There is no one-size-fits-all education, so our focus will be meeting students’ individual needs.
