Let me begin by saying I am so excited to be your child’s teachers. My husband, Patrick and two son’s, Peyton and Carrick, live in Westminster. My kids keep us busy running around from baseball practices, golf practice and o other school events they participate in. I am well aware of the bond a teacher creates between each and every student. I look forward to getting to know your child and your family. We all learn so differently and I look forward to the challenge of planning, instructing and guiding each of my 2nd grade students through the process of learning the very exciting curriculum that we have.
I am originally from the Seattle area and moved to Denver to attend Regis University. Upon graduating college I began my teaching career in the Denver Archdiocese for 2 years. Then taught in Jefferson County Public Schools for 4 years, all the while attending graduate school. I have a Master's Degree in School Administration. I then got married and took time off to be home with my two boys. I began working at Niwot Elementary as an Instructional Paraeducator in 2012. This is my fifth year teaching at Niwot Elementary.
I am so excited to be a part of the Second grade team. Mrs. Cavanaugh, myself and Mrs. Olsen feel honored to be a part of your child’s learning. Together we will make this school year very special.
