Bio

Hello! My name is Lyndsey Searls and I am a third grade teacher here at Niwot Elementary School. I am honored to be a member of the Niwot Cougar family. We are truly a wonderful community… students, parents, teachers, staff, and ALL. I look forward to making our classroom a special part of the Niwot community.

Here’s a bit about me… I was born and raised in Longmont, CO and am a product of the St. Vrain Valley School District. After graduating from Skyline High School, I relocated to Greeley for college. I graduated from the University of Northern Colorado with my Bachelors degree in Elementary Education with an emphasis in Earth Science. In 2023, I completed my Masters at the University of Northern Colorado as well in Physical Education and Physical Activity Leadership. I have spent my first 5 years teaching in Greeley, CO and now I am beyond excited to be back in the school district that shaped me. I enjoy spending my time going on adventures with my Husband, watching sports with my family and friends (GO AVS!), reading, crafting, and being outside. Ever since I was a little girl, I imagined myself having my own classroom where I would help students reach their full potential and show them that the challenge of learning is always worth it in the end. I am passionate about teaching, and can’t imagine doing anything else. Each day, I strive to make sure that EVERY child learns, EVERY child knows that they are important and valued, and that EVERY child is held to the highest of expectations. Learning is not always easy, but through perseverance, learning from mistakes, and reaching for the highest of stars, we can grow. My students are my kids and I feel privileged to teach each and every child. This will be the best year yet!
