Hello! My name is Kelly Blackford and I am the Media Tech at NIwot Elementary. I feel so fortunate to be a part of the Niwot community and love every minute I spend with our students in the library. The best part of my job is seeing a child’s face light up when they find the perfect book! And who doesn’t remember the excitement of going to an elementary book fair?  I am very passionate about literacy and instilling a love of reading in our student community.   I moved with my husband, 2 children, and pets to Longmont from Sydney, Australia where I worked in sales and marketing for a large tech company. I love the outdoors and in my free time enjoy hiking, biking, running and exploring everything our beautiful state has to offer. I also love sports, reading (of course!) and live music.
