I earned my bachelor’s degree in English Literature from the University of Colorado, Boulder. I also completed the Elementary Education Teacher Licensure program at CU. Upon graduating from the licensure program, I received the “Best Should Teach” award for my dedication to equity in education. I  was also named the “Outstanding Undergraduate” for the Elementary Education program. I am currently earning my master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Western Governors University.  
Bio
Hello! My name is Jessica Waggoner, and this is my fifth year teaching at Niwot Elementary. I am thrilled to be back in fifth grade this year after teaching fourth grade for the past year here at Niwot.  I started my career in Education  in Thailand where I taught English to kindergarteners. Outside of school, I spend most of my free time outdoors. I am an avid rock climber, and also enjoy mountain biking and skiing with my partner and friends. My partner and I have an Australian Shepherd named Finn, who also joins us on our adventures. Aside from outdoor activities, I love to cook, listen to podcasts, and read.
