This is my 7th year working at Niwot Elementary as a school counselor. Prior to working in the school system, I was a counselor/teacher and group treatment coordinator for an outdoor residential therapeutic program for teenagers, a teller and trainer for Elevations Credit Union, and a case manager for people experiencing homelessness after being released from Boulder County Jail.
I feel very grateful to be a part of this community and honored to be a part of your student’s academic journey. As a school counselor I provide support in 3 domains: academic, social/emotional, and college/career. I love my job because I have such a mix of responsibilities throughout the day including whole class counseling lessons, individual check-ins, small groups, parent and teacher consultations, and this year I monitor first grade lunch and recess. I also support students and families as the school’s 504 Coordinator.
In my free time, I love hanging out with my husband and 2 year old son. We enjoy getting outside in nature and staying active.
