Bio

I grew up in the Chicago area and moved to Colorado after college; I taught 6th-9th-grade English in Fort Collins while my husband earned his doctorate. We lived in Wales for five years before returning to Colorado, this time to Niwot, where we’ve been ever since (fun fact: our boys have Welsh birth certificates). I began subbing at NES, and over the years I was able to sub for every position in the school–I learned so much from stepping into other teachers’ shoes! I’ve been the Gifted/Talented teacher since 2020, and I enjoy the variety and challenge of the role, the close collaboration with so many amazing colleagues, and the opportunity to watch students grow over multiple grade levels.   I’m not very good at relaxing–unless I have a book in my hands! I also like to garden, knit/crochet, ski, and connect with close friends.
