 Hi, I am Amy Sasser and this will be my first year at Niwot Elementary. I am so excited to join this amazing community! I am going into my 23rd year of teaching. I taught 13 years of general education and 9 years of Special Education. I have been in the St Vrain Valley School District for 10 years. I was the School Special Education Facilitator at Aspen Ridge for 2 years.. Then I opened Soaring Heights PK-8 as the Elementary Significant Support Needs Teacher and remained there for 4 years. My most recent position has been an Elementary Special Education Teacher at Main Street School.

I moved to Colorado from Newnan, Georgia (Atlanta area) in 2010. I am married and have 3 children. A 27 year old daughter, 25 year old son, and a 21 year old son. I have two lovable pit bulls, Frank and King. When I am not at school I like to read, walk, workout, and spend time with my family. I am a huge sports fan, especially college football. My favorite teams include Auburn University, University of Colorado, University of Texas, University of Nebraska, and the Broncos. I enjoy watching baseball and I am a life long fan of the Atlanta Braves.
