I am originally from Omaha, NE, and hold a Bachelor of Music degree in piano performance from the University of Kansas and a Master of Music degree from Temple University. Prior to coming to Niwot I spent a number of years teaching piano and accompanying/performing in the Boulder/Denver area.
This is my 4th year teaching K-5 music at Niwot and I am excited for a year of performances and musical exploration. I recently completed my national certification for teaching Kodaly Methodology, which focuses on developing solid vocal, reading, and listening skills for children beginning from Kindergarten through 5th grade. Outside of school, I enjoy running, skiing, playing the piano, and being outside as much as possible. I live in Boulder with my husband, 2 children, and dog.
