No October Late Start 2016

The Colorado Department of Education has identified Wednesday, October 5 as the official statewide October Count Day for the 2016-2017 school year.

I Teach Because...

Think back to when you were a student, back-to-school shopping, finding your classroom, and the exciting lessons that would soon fill your day. The first day of school jitters that were calmed by the friendly, welcoming face, and celebrating the “ah ha” moments when you finally figured out how to solve the problem. Then there was the time in kindergarten, when you went to the restroom but couldn’t remember the way back to your classroom. As panic set in, that friendly face walked around the corner and they knew exactly where your classroom was.

Lost and Found will be donated!!

Please have your student(s) check the lost and found before this Friday, April 1st...OR, stop in and check it please.

All items will be donated over Spring Break!

Niwot Elementary Holiday Luncheon

The District calendar for Lunch Menus show this to be on Wednesday, November 11th, but here at Niwot Elementary, we are switching it up!

We have a lot planned for that day, November 11th - picture retakes in the morning and a trek to Niwot High School in the afternoon for the performance of "The Sound of Music".

We will switch Friday, November 13th's menu of pizza to Wednesday the 11th, and have our special turkey luncheon on Friday the 13th instead of the 11th.

Boulder Valley Rotary Club Coat Drive

It’s time again for donating those too-small, somewhat-worn, but still-warm coats to the
annual Share-A-Coat program. Other items such as hats, gloves, sweaters, mittens,
snow-boots, etc. will also be accepted for donation.
Each year the Boulder Valley Rotary Club, with cleaning services donated by Art
Cleaners in Boulder, collects coats from many of our local schools, cleans them and
distributes them to families and children who are in need of them.
A box has been provided at our school, so please send coats you are no longer using to
