Toward this end, we would like to share important inclement weather information so that your family can be prepared in the event severe weather results in the closure or delay of our schools.

Gifted and Talented Nominations 2017-18

Each year schools in St. Vrain Valley School District complete a process to identify students in grades K-12 who demonstrate exceptional ability or performance in one or more academic areas and may therefore qualify for Gifted/Talented educational services.  These students perform at least two years above grade level in their strength area(s) and require additional academic challenges in order to support their continued educational growth and progress.

St. Vrain Students Look to the Sky

On August 21, students across St. Vrain Valley Schools experienced the 'Great American Eclipse' through district-provided safety viewing glasses, indoor live-streaming and immersive classroom activities.

The start of a new academic year is one of my favorite times to visit our schools and talk with our students, families, teachers and staff. Our hallways are filled with a palpable optimism and drive to continue our momentum toward the highest levels of academic growth and success.

Eclipse Safety Checklist

It’s not the eclipse that is dangerous to observe, it’s the sun! The sun’s visible (and invisible) rays can cause serious damage to the sensitive tissues of the eyes, often without being immediately aware of it. Normally, our common sense protects us from looking directly at the sun for more than a second.

Description: Generally all online systems will be unavailable as DTS and O&M perform major maintenance on the district’s technology infrastructure.

St. Vrain Valley Schools Launches New Initiative to Close the Word Gap

As St. Vrain Valley Schools continues to advance our programs that support our youngest learners, we are proud to announce a new partnership with the LENA Research Foundation and the OUR Center in Longmont that will prepare infants and toddlers (0-3 years) for school by encouraging parents to talk and engage more with their children.
