I was a first grade teacher for ten years, off and on, before becoming an instructional aide so that I could prioritize my family and have a better work/life balance. I have a Masters Degree in Teaching from the University of Portland and a Bachelors Degree in Psychology. My teaching career has been quite varied, as I have taught in five different school districts in four different states (Oregon, Washington, Utah and Colorado). I am passionate about literacy, love working with kids and feel so lucky to be able to do something I love every day.
