Hello! My name is Kara Danielson and I love 4th grade! This year is my second year at Niwot and I am loving it here! This is now my tenth year teaching, and I have taught grades 1-5 throughout my career. I received my B.A. degree at University of Nevada Las Vegas. I am also proud to be a part of the Southern Nevada Writing Project, working as a teacher consultant for professional development in writing.
Teaching to me is more than just a job; it is my passion. I have a strong belief in creating a safe and secure environment where students want to learn and feel comfortable being their true selves. Learning can be a lot of work, especially in 4th grade, but it can also be fun! I want to create life-long learners who enjoy the journey through education.
I believe that all children have the right to be heard because their opinions matter. I will be committed to teaching your child the importance of making decisions and being responsible for the consequences of those choices. I believe that all children have the ability to make choices that will enable them to succeed.
I hope that your child will leave this classroom at the year’s end with a belief that anything is possible with hard work and a belief in the power they hold.
