Staff Department

Hello Niwot Elementary community! I am very happy to be the new counselor at Niwot Elementary and look forward to meeting you all. I have been working in Counseling since 2008 and have a variety of experience working with different populations and in different settings. I received my B.S. in Psychology from University of Georgia and recently completed my M.S. in Counseling from Prescott College, concentrating in School Counseling and with an emphasis in Somatic Psychology. I spent four years working at an outdoor residential therapeutic program for teens as a direct care counselor/teacher and later as a family counselor. For the past three years I have worked with Mental Health Partners as a case manager with adults with serious mental illness. I have also worked as a technical trainer at a local credit union, volunteered as a wildland firefighter, and taught nutrition to kids K-12 in the public schools in Jacksonville, Florida.

Working with kids is my passion and I am really excited to be a part of the team at Niwot Elementary! I love the outdoors and spend a lot of my free time trail running, hiking, and biking. I am a registered yoga teacher and enjoy incorporating my somatic education into my work with kids and parents.

I am a half time employee at Niwot Elementary and half time at Alpine Elementary. I am at Niwot Monday mornings until about noon and all day Tuesdays and Thursdays.
